1. They are made by different companies.
2. They will not fit on the same motherboards.
3. One generally costs more than the other and the other is generally slower than the one.
4. One offers tri-core processors and one does not.
5. They are not compatible with each other.
6. There are currently no Intel processors jammed up milf_hunter's butt.
7. One is made in America and the other is made by vampires in Lithuania.
Please note, one of the above statements is not true.

This is a single core processor.....I'd skip this deal. You just missed the $30 AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 Brisbane 2.3GHz dual core deal.
Over the years AMD was/is -typcially- the better cost/performance buy. But the Core 2 has narrowed the gap and some may even say it has surpassed.
You have your Intel haters.....that love AMD and you have your Intel bangwagoners that say it cannot be surpassed. Hmmm....sounds familiar....like the once mighty NVIDIA followers !
I have both.....AMD BE-2400 45watt'r for my HTPC and Intel in the rest.
