Yes indeed, and it's a WD so I would grab one fast if I wanted one.

This deal has been around. Nothing special

I have one of these and it failed after 4 months, the replacement they sent me is now making a funny clicking noise after 6 months.

Well, it might not be a great deal, but it's not terrible. I've been using the 1TB version for a year, and it's been very reliable.

I got one over a year ago and now its making funny clicking noises. Over course its out of warranty now. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Western Digital

One-eyar warranty, no thanks.

horrible "non-deal", I was able to get this HD at lower price more than a year ago.
#11   fullseptic - Posted 11:19 am PST 12/4/08 (54 Posts)
I just got a 640GB from them last week for $69 after stackable coupons for $45 off.....

This kind of deals happen regularly. If you use 25$ off coupon, it will drop to its actual good price. But, they should decrease the price already to that level, without the need to use a coupon.

i bought one of these over a year ago, and its worked great for me
although.. i paid about the same price back then.. so not realy a bargain price now

Not a good deal. The price should still go down.

This was an OK price for these things six months ago. But now you can easily get storage at nearly half this cost.

should just buy the 1tb, and a sata external casing w/ wires and all, and create your own for like 110. There was a 1tb for 90 somewhere, chip in 20 bucks and you'll have double space for a little more than 30 dollars Very Happy

wow these sound like not the best external HDs, so which HDs would some of you recommend?
